The Dark Space Planetarium is out of this world! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an astronaut on the International Space Station? Our exhibits provide the opportunity to experience space without ever leaving Earth.

Explore the Dark Space Planetarium exhibits, and then enjoy an immersive experience in our 360° screen where you can explore the Solar System, be a passenger on a mission to space, and even become so tiny you can explore the human body.

By Bus
Most bus routes into Kirkcudbright stop at the Harbour Square which is a short 5-minute walk to the Dark Space Planetarium. There is also a stop directly outside the grounds, however you must ask the driver to drop you there. Bus timetables can be found at https://www.dumgal.gov.uk/timetables
