LEARNING

Book the planetarium for educational visits!

LEARNING

Our planetarium is available to book for educational visits.

We have a centre filled with educational and fun exhibits that children can play with whilst learning about science and space. The exhibits range from launching a rocket, learning about the seasons, ‘Have you got what it takes to be an astronaut’ interactive challenges and landing a rocket on the moon. All of our exhibits have been designed to provide an educational and fun filled experience – all under the solar system planets, models of which are suspended from our ceiling.

We welcome school trips or after school club visits and offer a range of options for you to choose from.

For enquiries or to book a visit please contact us. Our email address is education@darkspaceplanetarium.org

Each experience includes a 30-minute 360° dome film, of which we have three to choose from:

Capcom Go!

Which covers the Apollo missions and Moon landings. (we also have a 10 minute version of this film if required)

We are Aliens!

Which covers the hunt for alien life in our solar system and beyond. Explore how we have sent robots to Mars and how scientists hunt for exoplanets in the universe.

We are Guardians

Which covers how satellites are used to study the Earth’s ecosystems and how climate change is impacting the planet.

Hiring the centre

The centre is also available for hire so you can deliver your own content in the dome.  We have the option to set up the dome screen into a presentation format so you can deliver your own slides and you can still choose from one of our films to enhance the experience and children can spend some time in our interactive exhibit area.
